Seven years before moving to Florida I had bought an extremely old and recently remodeled rustic ranch style house in a rural Texas town. Without hesitation the entity that has followed me from house to house made his immediate appearance in this home and he did this in a frighteningly dramatic way. It happened the very first night we moved in, around 2:30 am. Me and my son were both extremely exhausted after a day of unpacking boxes and moving furniture we decided to call it a night and go to bed. My room was on one side of the house and his on the other. It wasn't long until we fell asleep. I was abruptly awoken by the familiar sound of footsteps walking across the bedroom floor. In a complete panic with my heart racing wildly, I instantly thought someone had broken into the house. The alarm on the Security System was blaring loudly and the sound causing my ears to hurt so I placed my hands on either side of my head slightly muffling the noise.
Completely overwhelmed with terror and unable to move, the only weapon within reach was a small hammer I had laid on the night stand next to the bed. It was dark, my eyes darted back and forth scanning the room. It felt like someone was hiding in the corner waiting to pounce on top of me. All of the sudden it happened! I could feel the weight of his body as he laid on top of me pushing me deeply into the mattress. It felt like quicksand no matter how hard I fought the worse it got. As quick as it began, it ended. The beat of my heart pounding violently inside my chest, I quickly jumped out of bed. Worried about my son and his well being I slowly walked out of the bedroom while yelling out his name, he didn't answer. He was hiding under the covers in his bed, too petrified to respond. Making my way through the house towards his bedroom I glanced towards the entryway and noticed the front door standing wide open. Finally my son came out of his room and grabbing my sons hand I pulled him close wrapping my arms around him protectively. Tears streamed down my face as we waited. With the alarm still wailing I ran to the front door and quickly shut and locked it. Together me and my son started checking out the rest of the house suddenly coming to an abrupt halt as we entered the kitchen because the door leading to the back patio was also wide open. There would be no sleep for us that night. It was only the beginning, the next night it happened again. We had special locks installed on all the doors. The stalker entity decided to show us just how strong his energies were. Not only was he able to unlock and open doors he could lock them too. We've been locked out of every house we ever owned by this spirit. Pop-a-lock was called the first time it happened and they were baffled, telling me it was impossible for my doors to have been locked without someone from the inside locking them. Their comment was, "is your house haunted?" We make it a house rule to never venture outside without our keys.
