A Hitch Hiker is a spirit person that has passed and is in waiting. When someone has a near death experience they can become vulnerable to such an attachment. This attachment latches onto the person during the out of body journey and when the person who is having the out of body journey returns, this spirit will return with this person. The person is usually not aware that they're being used as a transportation vessel back in to our dimension. Spirits use portals as doorways to visit after death and they can utilize another to do the same. The Hitch Hiker becomes part of the persons personality and may torment, protect or even guide this person.. They may interact with the person to the point that the person thinks their home is haunted. When the person moves the hitch hiker spirit will move with them, hence the saying, "She or He is haunted". The truth of the matter is...this is fact and the person is literally being haunted. Others around this person will witness the interactions of this spirit, as they themselves will experience being touched, see shadows, hearing voices or even unexplained noises, because they are connected to the person the hitch hiker is latched to.
